Party Foul? No Problem!

Speaking of jazzy johns (see below), those luxury loos really got me thinking. All in all, the bathrooms at our reception site are somewhat boring. So I started coming up with ideas on how I could jazz them up a bit. Oftentimes, bathrooms are forgotten about, left out of the party fun. Well, I'm all about including everybody, and everything.....so I came up with an idea. Why not decorate the bathrooms with lovely baskets, or even extra bows? God forbid should anyone spill all over themselves, or have met someone special while hanging out at the bar, only to realize they have....bad breath! Here is my solution: Bathroom Baskets. I spoke with Ashley about this and she thought it was a great idea. I put her in charge of decorating and filling the
baskets, so if there is anything missing that you needed, take it up with her! : ) Here is what I
have in mind....

This would add a little flavor to our all-white bathrooms. I would also include a card or note that says something like "Compliments of the Bride & Groom". If you have any more ideas on how to spice up the bathrooms...let me know!

Luxury Loos

As usual, I am slightly bored at work today, and was surfing along some of my favorite wedding websites when I came across something I had no idea existed: Luxury Port-a-Pottys! Luckily, we are not in need of any loo rentals (our tent has permanent ones in place, thank God!), but if we were in the market for some, and we had about $2,000 extra dollars to spend, I would definitely pick from these unbelievable johns. Take a look.......

View from the outside.......

Pretty average looking trailer, right? I mean a lot nicer than your everyday portapotty, but once you step inside.....

This is the coolest outhouse I've ever seen, seriously!

Yes, this is really a jumbo portapotty. Unbelievable, I know. Too bad we have no use for these...I'd love to see everyones reactions to them. I'd be hanging out in there all night long! : )

Anyways, just wanted to share the pics. I'll return later with my post of the day!

A Therapy Session with 'Almost Famous"

Last night, after a weekend of non-stop running around, Russell and I found time to watch a movie. The movie we chose was 'Almost Famous', and it made me feel so happy! It had nothing to do with weddings, but everything to do with being young and in love, with so much more to look forward to. Oftentimes people get wrapped up in their day-to-day lives, and keep themselves on the outside looking in, and forget about how most of those little things don't matter. That is how I have been feeling lately. Rather than waking up and viewing my day as a normal routine (i.e., working out, going to work, eating lunch, working some more, going home, watching t.v., falling asleep...etc.) it is important that we keep each day unique to ourselves, even if, to someone else, it may seem routine. Life is just not fun if performed routinely, and while I have been told countless times that we can't always be having fun, I honestly don't see why not. We need to find a way to make each day different, to make each day special. That is what I want to do in these days leading to our wedding, and in the consequent days after. Every day that passes is not just "some day". Every sunrise is sacred.

I slept so peacefully last night.

Thanks to Russell and his infinite video collection which happens to include 'Almost Famous'. I don't know why this movie struck such a chord with me (it's not even the first time I've seen it) but I'm glad it did.... If you haven't seen this movie, I recommend.... : )
